The build has gone smoothly so far. Touch wood! Which now we can. The framing has gone up.
Most of the issues with the build to date have been prior to the build actually starting. Issues with engineers and the bank, and delays with the Architect completing our work.
The build itself is going well. Which is nice, considering that when working on the foundation, unknown issues can arise. We don’t expect many issues for the next few months whilst the building wrap, windows, roof and cladding are completed. All those decisions have been made and materials ordered. With that, there may not be many building blogs which maybe welcome relief for many of you! I might just post a few photos along the way if nothing too exciting is happening.
Many decisions still to be made on the interior though. It feels like we have already made hundreds, but the decision overload will hit into overdrive soon.
We realise we won’t get everything perfect, and will have some regrets. That’s only natural. But we think we are getting the biggest things right and moving in the right direction.
